Creating a school culture where families choose to use active transportation to travel to and from school will support your School Travel Plan and keep parents and students engaged!
The Green Communities Canada ASRTS website has programs and resources to create such a culture. You will find special events and campaigns and how they can be linked to the Ontario curriculum. Teachers can combine these activities with:
- mathematics
- science & technology
- health & physical activity
- arts & language
- and through curriculum lesson plans
Every school is different and you may choose to use one or all of these programs. Choose what works for your school!
